Our First Anniversary

Can you believe it's already been a year since Josh and I became Mr&Mrs??? I know, it's flown by. And what a year it has been. We got to go to Jamaica...Josh got a new job...we bought a house (and that's just to name off a few things). All the while having fun every...well almost...every step of the way. He is my best friend and I am so very lucky to be able to spend and share my life with him. So what did we do to celebrate our first year?? Weeell....

Sunday we woke up early...like 9:30 am early...totally abnormal for our household; especially since I worked the night before. After laying around for awhile, we got up, made some breakfast and coffee, and got ready for a day of shopping. We started off at Factory Direct Furniture to look for a couch for Josh's "man cave". Which I am slowly trying to piece together into a very nice room that we he can enjoy with friends. We found a great one at great price and quickly snagged it. Then we were off to the mall where Josh bought me an anniversary band for my wedding set.

Then, I had a little surprise for my dear sweet husband. For the past few months, he has been dying for a puppy. A husky puppy to be more specific. So, after scouring the web, and newspaper...I finally found a litter that was both affordable and near by. The downside, he was kinda wanting a little boy, and by the time I called the ad...she only had 2 little girls left. So, I told him about it, and left it up to him. Within an hour we were in the car heading to pick up the new baby. (Josh had also surprised me with a gift, a brand new Coach purse.)

Yes, we went a little overboard, especially with Christmas just around the corner; but hey, you only celebrate your first anniversary once, right? Yeah. That's what I thought, too. haha.

Monday was our actual anniversary and since we had been on the go all day Sunday, we just hung around the house, cooked at home, and caught up on our TV shows. We also broke out some champagne and our frozen wedding cakes. Which, with the exception of Josh's groom's cake...the cake was really still quite delicious.

Well, my friends...that's it. Our little anniversary story. Not too crazy, but still a very special memory for us. Here's to the next year, and many more to come.
