I feel compelled to go ahead and apologize to you all. March has been crazy around here, however we haven't really gotten anything done around the house. With all the crazy weather, and at the same time absolutely gorgeous weather, we have been playing more than doing chores and goals. We also have been working more this month than ever it seems. Josh and I each had huge St. Patrick's Day parties at both bars. It was insane, and I am so glad that the holiday only comes around once a year. I swear, big holidays like that, it takes me at least a month to recoup from it. So, my friends. I am sorry I have not updated or probably won't have much to say about the month of March at the end of month. However, we are planning big things for April and hopefully lots of changes for us. Hopefully you can forgive me. I promise, I will be better.

Kitchen Reorganization
Remember how I kept on saying I was going to reorganize my kitchen?? Yeah, I vaguely remember something said about that too (ha, just put it as a goal for the last 4 months!) Well, it's DONE! That's right, you heard. D-O-N-E DONE!. And I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. I was so lucky to have my mom and dad bring us a couple pieces of furniture for our dining room. They gave a little hutch and butler stand so we have lots more storage and then Mom was gracious and donated her Sunday afternoon stay and help me clean my kitchen and get everything in it's proper home. And now, as long as Josh and I can keep it clean (which we better) we have a sparkling, beautiful, and organized place for us to cook. Take a look at these before and afters:
BEFORE:
These are the two side cabinets right below our pantry cabinets. Before it was just a mess of pots, pans, lids, and other things we would need for cooking. But now, it's all clean and each piece has a home of it's very own.
And these pictures are the finish product! Everything has a home, and my counters aren't cluttered. Oh, and I found those sticker decals at Target. They are amazing; red, black, and white dotted circles. Not only do they match, but they peel right off, with no damage to the surfaces!
I am so very happy and proud of how the kitchen turned out. There are just a few more things I want to make/ find for decor...the window really needs some love. But we (meaning I) are still undecided. Our (meaning my) next project........
BEFORE:
Just absolute chaos. Dishes overflowing in the sink and tuperware falling out of the cabinet whenever you opened the door. RIDICULOUS.
AFTER:
These are the cabinets right around our stove. The two on the sides are used as pantries, since we don't have a for real one, and the one up top is for spices and other cooking needs.

And this is my nice and neat tuperware cabinet. Amazing isn't it?! Mom and I went through and matched lids to the bottoms then went from there. It is so much easier to find what we need to store left overs or other foods, and we don't have to worry about an avalanche of plastic-ware coming at us every time we even look at the cabinet.
This was another cabinet that an utter disaster. It had become one of those cabinets that if I didn't know where to put something, it just crammed in here. You know what I'm talking about. It's kinda like that coat closet you have in your hallway. Don't lie. You know. But now it is a home for small appliances that aren't used every day and my baking-ware. Love.

THE DINING ROOM.
It actually looks a lot worse than this picture leads you to believe. Promise.

March Goals
Considering the fact that it is currently March 11...I figured it would be a good time to put up my goals and see if maybe I can get something done this month. I kinda have a feeling this spring forward time change thing is going to mess up my ideas and plans for the month though. Stupid time change....

-Make a little bed for my Lola Dog
-Redo dining room chairs **fingers crossed**
COOKING

-Wake up and get movin' in the mornings...NO MORE SLEEPING ALL DAY!
-Continue with 4 glasses of water a day...maybe even kick it up a notch to....5!

February Recap
Boy, oh boy. February might be the shortest month of the year, but we sure did get a lot done around the O'Dell household. It was definitely a fun filled, productive whorl-wind of a month. So let's get to it!
HOME
-Finish cash envelopes DONE! These I finished early in the month, and even did a post on how to make them!
-Finish family binder DONE! Check out the post about our binder, and cash envelopes here!
-Put together living room pillows DONE! Aren't they pretty?!?! We love, love love them. As do Lola and Kitty. I think they use them more than Josh and myself.
-Find fabric to reupholster dining room chairs DONE! Fabric is picked out..however I will not reveal it until the chairs are all done. I like to leave people in suspense! I will however show you all the contenders, can you guess which one we picked???
-Make something new for kitchen shelf DONE! I never posted about this, but here it is!
-Organize kitchen FAIL! Again, it didn't get done..buuut this time it was because I was waiting on a couple pieces of furniture from my parents. Our kitchen is very tiny and we don't have a lot of storage space. We have been keeping our wedding gifts in the spare bedroom since there was no where else for them. Plus, I had been working most Sundays, the only day my parents could bring the furniture, so it just has not worked out. Until yesterday. Later on that though!
COOKING:
-1 new recipe DONE!
-1 family favorite DONE!
-1 new dessert DONE!
All done in one night! In case you forgot, here's what I made!
ME:
-Read 2 books FAIL!
-Eat 1 piece of fruit a day FAIL! Got the fruit, put the fruit in the fridge. Never looked at the fruit again. Well, except to throw it away.
-Drink 4 glasses of water DONE!
FUN:
-10 pictures for the month Sorta kinda done. Maybe. I dunno. I'm really trying to be good at taking pictures so we can document our year...but I always seem to forget.
-Trip to Nashville DONE! And we had a blast! Check out the story!
MONEY:
-Save a least 25% of weekly earnings DONE! I always keep track of what I make each night at work, so at the end of the week I just figure up the 25% and BAM! Money saved.
-Pay off one credit card. DONE! And because of that money saved I was able to pay off one of our credit cards! As well as already pay one off for March! So excited!!!
With so much that got done in February, I'm not really sure what I want to do in March. But since the month is already 5 days in, I suppose I better figure it out real soon, huh???
